Our Mission
DeepLang is an open-source programming language designed by students from ZJU, USTC, Imperial College London and other universities. We are building a safe, efficient, and developer-friendly language for the AIoT and edge AI era β one that brings the safety guarantees of modern language design to the world of resource-constrained devices.
Project Timeline
The Beginning
DeepLang project launched. Core team formed. Initial language spec drafted, DeepVM design started.
Community Growth
Regular tech talks began. First workshop held in Hangzhou. Compiler frontend, type system, and ANF conversion implemented.
Compiler Maturation
OCaml-based type system and compiler pipeline completed. WASM code generation. Language spec stabilized.
AIoT & Edge AI
Expanded focus to AIoT and edge AI. Ongoing compiler optimization, broader chip support, and ecosystem development.
